Shiba Inu, the star of popular anime film “Your Name,” has finally achieved coin status. With Shiba Coin now accepted by AMC Theatres in Japan for all purchases, this is a big step towards integrating digital currencies into high-street life.
AMC, a cinema chain in the United States, is now accepting Shiba Inu (SHIB) payments. The company has partnered with Jibrel Network for this new payment option. Read more in detail here: shiba inu coin.
One of the most popular memecoins is likely to gain much-needed respectability after being approved as a payment mechanism by one of the country’s largest movie theater chains.
AMC Entertainment’s CEO, Adam Aron, claims that the firm would be able to take SHIB payments within 60 to 120 days.
In the year 2022, Shiba Inu will be purchasing cinema tickets.
Thanks to Adam Aron, CEO of AMC Entertainment, fans of the beloved Shiba Inu will soon see the token acquire real-world use. Aron asked his Twitter followers earlier this month which cryptocurrency the movie theater business should accept as payment.
The vast majority of the poll’s respondents voted in support of SHIB due to the token’s bull run in October. This encouraged the company’s management to consider include SHIB in the list of tokens it would support during its Q3 results call.
Aron has now verified that AMC has joined with BitPay, a cryptocurrency payment provider, to facilitate SHIB payments. He claimed BitPay agreed to support Shiba Inu “particularly because he requested” in a tweet on Tuesday, making AMC the first BitPay client to accept the coin.
SHIB holders will be able to buy tickets at any of the company’s 950 movie theaters across the globe once the service is ready in the next 60 to 120 days.
#SHIBArmy take note: Our pals @Bitpay agreed to support Shiba Inu since I requested it, now AMC may accept Shiba Inu for online movie ticket and concession purchases. The first @bitpay client to accept Shiba Inu is @AMCTheatres. 60-120 days is the timeframe. This is incredible! pic.twitter.com/F54i22hHDv

SHIB’s entry comes only days after AMC unveiled a slew of additional payment alternatives. Aron announced on Friday that AMC would take Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Bitcoin Cash (BCH), Litecoin (LTC), Apple Pay, Google Pay, and PayPal as well as other cryptocurrencies. The new payment methods accounted for 14 percent of the company’s total online transactions almost soon after they were allowed, according to Aron.
Breaking news! As promised, there are a slew of new methods to pay at AMC online right now. We now gladly accept: drumroll, please… Bitcoin, Ethereum, Bitcoin Cash, and Litecoin are all digital currencies. Apple Pay, Google Pay, and PayPal are also available. Surprisingly, they already account for 14% of all internet purchases! Then there’s Dogecoin. pic.twitter.com/a7pqYBm7HB
